Tap, tap, tap, blast, quench, tap. Repeat.

These are the daily sounds that you will hear in my workshop.

My work takes time.

The pieces emerge from playing with materials and processes, and seeing how metal can be moved, stretched, shaped and formed.

My skills have evolved over the years, with some of the rawness of my early work becoming more refined.  However, my fascination with the surface of the metal remains a constant, and I love to see how far I can push it and how much movement I can generate.  Sometimes I push it too far, and it tells me I have to start again.

But that’s the fun of forging and manipulating the metal.
